JEM EDUCATION MARKETING SERVICES ACQUIRES DIGITAL CAPABILITY
JEM Education Marketing Services of Ashford, Kent,
has acquired JR Digital Print Services, the Whitstable-based company
that specialises in short-run digital printing and proof / advance
copy book production. JR Digital will enable JEM to provide complementary
services to those already promoted through its BookFile division.
JR Digital Print Services provides a wide range
of short-run print-on-demand and print-to-stock solutions for book
publishers and authors alike, with specialist expertise to produce
hardback and paperback books either from digital data or from the
original book. They scan the contents, print and then perfect bind
in a full colour, laminated cover in quantities from four upwards.
Their services can also be used to produce personalised or generic
Brochures, Flyers, Specification/Data sheets, Price Lists, Parts Lists,
Product / Training Manuals.

JR Digital’s previous owner, Barbara Davidson,

JEM’s BookFile Services for Publishers division provides specialist
mailing services for publishers including shared mailings to libraries,
library suppliers and booksellers. Having their own digital printing
service, means JEM can now offer their clients a fully integrated,
end to end service which now includes:
- Educational MasterFile, Bookfile and Data Services. A continually
updated database of approximately 30,000 schools and 4,000 booksellers
for sale at single or continuous use.
- Shoolbag & BookFile, shared mailings. Regular shared mailing
services to Primary and Secondary schools, as well as to libraries,
library suppliers and booksellers.
- Mailing and Print. Enclosing (hand & machine) and mailing
services to all supplied and sourced databases or to the Education
Masterfile or BookFile sectors. A comprehensive range of print services
is available including low cost duplication, laser, short run digital
or larger quantity litho printing. Short run print of books, leaflets
and mailing material with bookbinding facilities.
- Response and Fulfilment. A highly proficient customer contact
centre open 7 days a week to handle responses to client advertising
or mailing campaigns, capture and process the data given by customers,
and fulfil these orders or requests through our fulfilment operation
in Rushden, Northants.
